Every Door Pro America installation is covered by a one-year labor warranty, and every garage door we install carries its own manufacturer warranty covering materials and workmanship — terms vary by brand, with coverage up to a lifetime on select finishes.

What's not covered under the labor warranty
- Damage from theft, fire, hail, flood, wind, or other acts of God
- Failure of paint applied after manufacture or distribution
- Alterations or additions made to the door after installation
- Exposure to fumes, ash, cement dust, animal waste, or foreign substances
- Damage caused by contact with lead, copper, or galvanic material
- Any service or repair performed by a third party after installation
- Damage from improper maintenance, handling, misuse, or abuse
Good to know: Manufacturer warranties on the door and hardware itself are separate from our labor warranty and are the responsibility of the manufacturer. Manufacturer coverage may include parts but typically does not cover labor for repairs.
Manufacturer WarrantyManufacturer Coverage
Beyond our labor warranty, the door itself carries a warranty from the manufacturer that made it. Door Pro America installs doors from several manufacturers, and terms — coverage periods, what’s included, and what voids the warranty — vary from one manufacturer to the next.
Generally applies to
Single-family residential, residential condominium, and similar multi-family housing. Coverage is typically for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
Generally does not apply to
Commercial, industrial, rental property, or non-residential use of any kind.

Paint System Warranty
Covers rust-through caused by the paint finish cracking or peeling, for the period listed above. Surface rust, chips, or scratches that result in cosmetic or surface corrosion are not covered.
Painting an Amarr steel or aluminum door voids this warranty.
Section, Parts, Hardware & Springs Warranty
Covers any section, part, spring, or hardware (excluding perimeter seal) that’s defective in material or workmanship, for the period listed above. Applies to standard lift and low headroom installations only — not hi-lift or vertical lift applications.
Carriage Court models carry additional coverage: the overlay trim and window grille are warranted against discoloration for 10 years, and the overlay trim against delamination for 5 years.
Windows, Window Frames & Inserts Warranty
DecraGlass™, DecraTrim, insulated glass, and window frames are covered for 10 years. Glass or laminated glass defects in material or workmanship are covered for 1 year, with a separate 5-year category for certain defects. Excludes single-pane glass and decorative hardware.
Void if installed in high-moisture environments — pool enclosures, saunas, jacuzzis, hot tubs, skylights, refrigeration units, or greenhouses.
Wood Garage Doors Warranty
Covers defects in material or workmanship for the period listed above. Excludes glass and decorative hardware. Natural variation in wood color and grain is not a defect and is not covered. Some splitting and cracking is a natural characteristic of wood and is not covered under warranty.
What voids the Amarr warranty
- Abuse, misuse, or failure to provide reasonable maintenance per manufacturer instructions
- Improper installation of the door or electric opener
- Fire, hail, hurricanes, tornadoes, flood, wind, or other acts of God or nature
- Repair, alteration, or additions to the door
- Failure of paint applied after manufacture or distribution
- Abrasive cleaners, vandalism, accident, neglect, or radiation
- Pressure-washing the door or surrounding areas
- Improper handling of the door or opener
- Normal wear and tear
- Any puncture or hole not shown in Amarr's installation instructions
- Exposure to corrosive chemicals, fumes, salt spray, ash, cement dust, or animal waste
- Water runoff from lead, copper, or galvanic metal flashing

Filing a Warranty Claim How It Works
Door Pro America Labor Claims
- Contact us within 30 days of discovering the issue, and within the one-year warranty period.
- We’ll schedule a visual inspection of the alleged defect.
- If we confirm a valid claim, we’ll repair, reinstall, re-perform the work, or issue a refund — our choice of remedy.

Manufacturer Claims
- Check your project paperwork for your door’s manufacturer and their specific claims process — it varies by brand.
- Most manufacturers ask for a description of the issue, photographs, and proof of purchase.
- The manufacturer may inspect the product before deciding on a remedy. Response times vary — Amarr, for example, responds within two weeks of receiving a claim.

Warranty information:
Labor Warranties and Service: Door Pro America will offer a labor warranty of not less than one year from the date of installation. All repair or replacement costs are your responsibility after the expiration of the warranty period. If you choose to have alterations, maintenance, service, adjustments or repairs made to the product or component by a third party at any time after installation, neither Door Pro America is responsible for costs, defects or damages resulting from such action. Door Pro America will not replace or refund any product or component that has been modified by a third party at any time after installation. Door Pro America will not be responsible for damages resulting from your failure to provide reasonable maintenance, improper handling and operation, misuse or abuse or other occurrences beyond the control of Door Pro America
Labor Warranty Guidelines
Door Pro America operates with a one year labor warranty from the date of installation. In the event of a warranty claim Door Pro reserves the right to visually inspect the claimed item and will honor any items under claim in the event that quality of workmanship is the basis for damage. Door Pro is not responsible for damage due to theft, fire, hail, flood, wind or any other acts of God. Failure of paint applied after manufacture and distribution , alteration and /or additions to door or in areas exposed to fumes, ash, cement dust, animal waste or foreign substance, lead, copper or galvanic material are not warrantable items. All other warranties, express or implied, including any warranty and merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose are hereby expressly excluded and disclaimed.
